Oppo is calling it a “waterfall” screen, as content on the screen appear to spill off the screen.

Oppo ‘Waterfall Screen’ Phone

Well, this screen looks fantastic, although there are some usability concerns as well. According to experts, it’s not clear whether the extra screen area will be touch-sensitive or whether Oppo is doing anything to avoid accidental input, for example. The phone’s edges also don’t have enough room for power and volume buttons, so Oppo will have to find somewhere to relocate them.

On the other hand, Oppo says the slope angle is 88 degrees, which makes it almost a full-on vertical drop-off. In fact, the screen covers the sides of the phones so much that the prototype device doesn’t have room to house volume and power buttons on the side.

One of the images that show the new OPPO phone with Waterfall Screen held along with the Find X flagship phone from last year .almost certainly, the smartphone could be offering a tall aspect ratio of 21:9 like the Xperia 1.

While, talking about the camera, there is no front camera on the mysterious OPPO with Waterfall Screen. The slimness of the phone suggests that it could be equipped with OPPO’s under-display camera technology that was showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2019 Shanghai tech trade show in June.
